SNL #32 - 10/9/2021 - Songs of Love or Heartbreak

 

This week we will celebrate love and heartbreak. Bring us a song about either...or both?? If you prefer to play a different song please feel free. There is no obligation to play according to the theme.

Time

Sound checks - 7:30 pm EST. Performances - 8:00 pm till 10:30 pm EST

(8 pm Eastern; 7 pm Central, 6 pm Mountain, 5 pm Pacific)

Arrangement

Enjoy the music... or get a slot and play for us. All levels are welcome and encouraged. Anyone who has never performed in front of others or even if you're just nervous, can get the first slots, followed by everyone else. We will create a list of about 10 players at the beginning for the first half. This is the time we do sound checks to make sure you and your guitar can be heard clearly. As the VOM progresses, we will fill up the other 10 or so slots. Please remember to have your guitar tuned prior to your turn to play.

Recording

We can give you control to record your performance on your own computer. The file will generate after you leave the meeting and will be found in a folder named Zoom which will be in your Documents folder. If you have a phone or tablet, we can record you to the cloud and send you the link to download your performance. Even if you have a computer, if you would prefer to have us record your performance to the cloud, just let us know. 

Audio Settings

If you need help with your audio/computer set up, we have breakout rooms where you can get one on one tips if necessary. Downloading the most recent version of the Zoom client and watching a basic how-to video is advisable if you are new. You will find a video here to help you set up Zoom audio prior to participating in the VOM.
