Hello Fellow TACsters (and others who found your way here);

Intro

Just like the old fashioned Open Mics that happened at your local bar or coffee shop, Virtual Open Mics are free to everyone. Come and enjoy the music. Join in with the applause and comradery between performances. You are welcome to just listen or get a slot and play for us. All levels are welcome and encouraged. Anyone who has never performed in front of others or even if you're just nervous, can get the first slots, followed by everyone else. We will create a list of about 10 players at the beginning for the first half. This is the time we do sound checks to make sure you and your guitar can be heard clearly. As the VOM progresses, we will fill up the other 10 or so slots. Please remember to have your guitar tuned prior to your turn to play.

We record all the performances, and send the link to you later so you can download them and post them on TAC or YouTube if you wish. Please make sure that we have your TAC "nickname" so we can get a message to you containing the link to your recorded performance.

Audio Settings

If you need help with your audio/computer set up, we have breakout rooms where you can get one on one tips if necessary. Downloading the most recent version of the Zoom client and watching a basic how-to video is advisable if you are new. The theme for this coming Saturday will be lyrical meaning. It will be fun if you pick a song with lyrics that have meaning to you. Tell us what those lyrics mean to you as you introduce your song.
